Miners continuing protest against unpaid wages in Donetsk region Featured

Today morning, miners of the coal mine ‘Kotlyarevska’ of the state-owned enterprise "Selidovugillia" (Donetsk region) have started to block the highway Dnipro – Donetsk again. They have been holding such kind of protest for three days straight.
Miners of the mine ‘Kotlyarevskaya’ have begun to hold this protest on 3 October. According to the Chairperson of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets, miners have to start road blocking, because their previous three-day protest against unpaid wages didn’t bring any result.


Protesters are constantly moving along the pedestrian crossing. During the protest, miners give way for the ambulances, fire trucks, military cars. 
The representatives of local trade union organization said that protesters are facing with pressure.
Mykhailo Volynets informed that the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine didn’t react to miners protest. Moreover, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalyk has continued his vacation for one week more.
"In four mines of SOE" Selidovugillia", the wage arrears debt reached a record amount of 259 million UAH. In addition, there is a wage debt amounts up to 34 million UAH for 2015".
Yesterday evening Mykhailo Volynets was informed by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman signed the Resolution to allocate 136 million UAH of budget funds for paying wages to miners.
